Contemporary sculpture
made to order

Commissioning a work of art means engaging in an original creation : a sculpture conceived from an intention, a context, and a presence. It is not about adapting a “product,” but about bringing to life a piece that stands on its own artistic level—with a clear framework and approvals at each stage.

Custom-made sculpture

Sometimes words that belong to the commercial sphere are used.

This is a workshop creation :

a unique work that only makes sense if it remains true — in its idea, its form, and what it triggers.

The location matters, of course, but as a reference point: scale, constraints, exposure conditions.

The process of creating a unique, personalized sculpture

1) Initial discussion about the creation of your sculpture

You share an intention (even a vague one), a context, a deadline.

If you don't have a specific idea, we start with a theme, a contrast, a feeling, or simply a desire.

2) The brief (what the artist needs)

  • Simple photos of the place, possibly a short video and, if possible, an on-site visit.

  • Sculpture display: Indoor/outdoor + obvious constraints (passage, support, security, humidity/wind/sun, public…).

  • Desired dimensions (approximate).

  • Finishing preferences: color, material, effects (or on the contrary: total freedom).

  • Approaching a target budget.

  • Payment methods.

3) Art direction

The artist proposes a direction: a logic of form, an intention, a spirit.

The goal is not to multiply the options, but to find the right path with the client.

4) Validation, quote and schedule

Once the project direction has been validated, the artist formalizes the project: quote, stages, validation points and schedule.

5) Creation and development

The work is built, adjusted, refined. This is where the sculpture “takes shape”: proportions, presence, tensions.

6) Finishing touches to the sculpture

Matte, satin, glossy, patinas, textural effects: the finish is part of the artwork. The artist approves the final result with the client.

7) Delivery (and installation of the sculpture if necessary)

Depending on the format, delivery is organized accordingly. If necessary, setup is provided with clear instructions.

What you receive with your sculpture

  • a finalized work conforming to the approved direction

  • a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist (title, date, price, technique, dimensions, status: unique piece)

  • care and storage recommendations

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we start with an existing work and adapt it?

Yes, if it is a variation (scale, finish, presence), not a reproduction.

What if I don't have a specific idea?

You don't need to have "the concept". An intention, a desire, an idea is enough: the exchange with the artist is essential.

Can we move towards something very daring?

Yes. That's precisely the advantage of a dedicated creation: to take a strong direction towards the client's wishes.

What timeframe should be expected?

The lead time depends on the format, the finishes, and the workshop schedule. The easiest way is to discuss this during the initial contact.
