The Esculmaux 53 Original is a modern pop art sculpture in resin by Arson Sculptures, a French sculptor based in Drôme provençale. Standing 53 cm tall, it takes the ice cream on a stick, the emblem of the Esculmaux series, in its purest version: a varnished solid finish, with no metallic effect, that lets the shape speak.

Not quite an ice cream, not quite a body

The Esculmau is not a real ice cream, nor a picture of a body. Arson Sculptures turns this familiar object into a metaphor: playful, sensual and provocative. The sculpture plays with desire, indulgence and consumption, the themes at the heart of the series. You smile first, then you look closer.

The Original version: shape first

With no reflections and no mirror, the Original brings out the lines of the sculpture: every curve and every relief reads directly. It is the version closest to the model the artist sculpted. The pictures show different colour versions made from this original model.
